Gardens by the Bay

Hi folks, today my school took us on a trip to Gardens by the Bay - those who are interested in checking it out may visit their website.

Here's a map on how to get there for those who're interested. For those who are planning on going there via public transport, you may take the MRT to Marina Bay station and take bus 400 for 4 stops.

Lots of cool looking artificial trees like the one above. The yellow railing is a skywalk which you can pay to go on.

Another picture of the skywalk.

Here's the ticketing booth for the skywalk.

Here we have the Marina Bay Sands - a posh hotel that looks like a surfboard on 3 stilts. Prices there are outrageous though.

This is a traditional toy which was given out to us. It's basically using the rope to spin the top. Quite addictive I must say.

Visitors can pay to get a ride on a buggy like this. Met quite a few during my trip there ^^

A bench shaped like a fish!

Really hot day - must remember to hydrate myself! ^^

And here we have my ticket for the main highlight of the day - the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. If you're planning on visiting this area then I highly recommend you go there. I'll be showing you the insides of both these places below ^^

The first of the two I'll be showing you will be the cloud forest. The first thing that hits you will be this amazing seven storey waterfall, along with a huge spray of water droplets.

There's a really fantastic view from the top. Really looks great when you lean over the railing. ^^

Pitcher plants spotted on the top floor!

Again with the fantastic view ^^

Here they have a storey where they grow crystals.

Really nice 3D map of the whole area there, complete with contours.

Really like how this photo turned out ^^

Another cool looking bench that we found.

Now moving on to the Flower Dome. While not as big as the Cloud Forest, it still has that beauty in it ^^

Making preparations for Halloween. In Singapore, we don't usually go trick-or-treating, but Halloween is usually celebrated with horror trails and such like the Halloween Horror Night at Sentosa.

Different types of pumpkins laid out on the floor.

More pumpkins - but on a barrel.

Super cute scarecrow ^^

Found this rather adorable ^^

This one too.

Spot the chickens ^^

When you get out of the Flower Dome, you'll see this refreshments stand. $2 for a can of coke - really expensive in my opinion.

Overall, this has been an enjoyable trip - the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest really took my breath away. If you're interested to visit I strongly urge you to go as it's really beautiful. There you have it, folks, one of the tourist attractions in Singapore. Are there tourist attractions like this in your country? Share in a comment below! ^^

I'm most probably going to do a coverage of Universal Studios Singapore on Saturday, going there on Friday. Looking forward to it!

That's all from me for now, until next time folks! ^^

Introduction

Hello everyone! I'm going to start this blog to allow people to know more about life in Singapore, more specifically mine, and also discuss a little about anime and manga to satisfy my otaku desires. ^^

I know that this post looks kinda boring but i'll be uploading more pictures starting from the next post! Keep a lookout for it! ^^

I'm a fifteen year old living and studying in Singapore and due to my age, i won't really be divulging any personal information, sorry about that ^^

My dream is to work in the anime industry in Japan, and the person who motivated me to pursue this dream, or even starting up this blog, is Mr Danny Choo. Otakus will probably know him, but for others who would like to find out more, you may want to visit his website at www.dannychoo.com.

Okay, that's all from me for now. Until next time folks! ^^
